For the 2017 - 2018 Academic Year, the ITMSA will aim to provide students with new events and opportunities to get involved. Our team also exists to fulfill an open-door policy. We are always open to suggestions and ideas, so please feel free to reach out to us regarding any new initiatives that you would like to see throughout the year or even if you are simply seeking advice. Sal is a 4th year Business Technology Management (co-op student) and the President for the Information Technology Management Students' Association. Although this is Sal's first year on the ITMSA he has held multiple senior executive roles within the BTM community for the last 3 years. Sal is passionate about the project management profession and has dedicated numerous years of his undergraduate experience to leading a variety of student-run organizations to further enhance his leadership and project management skills. Upon graduation Sal is hoping to pursue a career in IT Project Management within the financial services industry. In his free time Sal enjoys weightlifting, reading, and sleeping.
Saba is a second year business technology management student at the Ted Roger’s School of Management at Ryerson university. She's always been passionate about the constantly developing IT world with a keen interest in business. Btm serves as a hybrid which is essential to today's economy.
You'll often find Saba dancing in the hallways when she's not obsessing over her to do lists.
VP of Marketing
Thoughts unorthodox, success typical. After strengthening ITMSA's social media platforms as Social Media Manager, Samuel Kieme 4th year BTM Co-op student is now VP of Marketing. With this position, Samuel visualizes an ITMSA curating content and services that will bring the BTM community together. With his love of entertainment, sports and obviously the BTM Program. You will be sure to see his mark within the online and physical presence of ITMSA.

Alicia is a 2nd year Business Technology Management Co-op student who first joined as an event associate! ITMSA gave her the opportunity to not only encourage and engage students to learn more about their program but also to help them step outside their comfort zone. During her summer, she worked for the Government of Ontario where she provided strategic advice for modernizing government services.

VP of Corporate Relations
Iftikhar is a 5th year Business Management student pursuing a Marketing Management major and Information Technology Management minor. Iftikhar wants to utilize the knowledge he has gained from his CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) to plan, execute and maintain all aspects of ITMSA in an exceptional manner. As Co-Vice President of Corporate Relations, Iftikhar wants to effectively acquire new sponsorships and keynote professionals, strengthen current corporate partnerships and serve as a catalyst to the outreach and brand exposure of the largest course union for a BTM program within Canada. Upon graduation, Iftikhar will be pursuing a career in Project Management within the Financial Services industry to apply the valuable knowledge and skills he has obtained throughout his years at Ryerson.
VP of Finance
Mirza is a second year co-op student and this is his first year in ITMSA. Mirza is a pretty chill guy who thought it would be cool to get involved in his campus, help out his fellow students and just not get bored with studies. The result: joining ITMSA as the vice president of finance. He has always been good with technology, often miraculously fixing the Wi-Fi for his parents by pressing the reset button. Thus, he decided to study BTM to show the world his skills which he would masterfully craft and perfect over the next four years. Mirza's main hobbies are watching movies, reading books, learning the guitar, singing, and stressing out over work. Finally, Mirza's goal is to one day start a company with an idea that the world is in need of to make it a better place, not for the money but for the good of mankind.
VP of Events
Ronit is a 5th-year Business Technology Management student and the Vice President of Events for the Information Technology Management Students' Association. Ronit has a wide variety of student group experience that he acquired inside and outside of TRSM over his 4 years in the BTM program, including multiple course unions and interest groups. Upon graduation, Ronit is looking to take his well-developed problem solving and teamwork skills to pursue a career in Management Consulting. In his free time, Ronit likes to sleep, play basketball, try different types of food, and sleep more after eating.
VP of Case Competitions
Thrilled to be a part of the BTM community, Priyanka is a second year BTM student who is eager to emerge herself further into a world filled with ground-breaking technology. Through her role as a Director of Case Competitions, she hopes to foster an environment of creativity and collaboration where students use entrepreneurial skills to work with peers and industry professionals. Priyanka aims to continuously infuse innovative ideas into her surroundings and actively explore outside of her comfort zone. Feel free to say hello if you see her around!
Director of Academic affairs
Hajra is going into second year of BTM starting in September. She joined ITMSA in first year and will be continuing to be a part of the team during her second year. Hajra joined ITMSA because during high-school she got involved in grade 12 and really wish she had done it earlier. Coming into first year she knew she wanted to get involved straight away and ITMSA was a great way to get started. As the director of academic affairs, Hajra is looking forward to providing BTM students enjoyable and beneficial events!
Director of Information Technology
Zach is entering his fourth year at Ryerson in the BTM co-op program. This is Zach's first year on the ITMSA team and he is excited to get to work contributing to the success of his school and program. Zach joined ITMSA to follow his passion of web development and design. He hopes to help create an awesome website that captures the professionalism and innovation that the ITMSA and BTM program represents.
Director of Graphics
Joel is a 3rd year student majoring in BTM and this is his first year joining ITMSA as the Director of Graphics. He is responsible for ITMSA’s branding and visual identity. He joined ITMSA to be involved in the school community, gain the opportunity to network with those in the IT industry and contribute his graphic design skills. During the 2017-2018 year, his goal is to not change ITMSA’s established brand image, but to tweak and enhance the brand to create an inviting and approachable environment for BTM students. Although Joel is majoring in BTM, he is also passionate about design. His aesthetic is minimalism and simplicity and enjoys creating branding and visual identities from streetwear to corporate entities. In his free time, he self-learns programming, design techniques and new tools and programs. He enjoys binge watching shows ranging from thrillers to comedy. Additionally, he is a completionist and likes food, adventures and food adventures.
Director of Social Media
Nawal is a fourth-year BTM co-op student and currently is completing her third co-op term at GS1 CA as a Business Analyst. Nawal joined ITMSA as a Social Media Director because she wanted to build relationships with more like-minded individuals and create an online presence where all BTM students felt comfortable engaging and sharing. Besides BTM, Nawal’s interests and hobbies include makeup, fashion, and binge watching random shows on Netflix. Nawal’s goal is quite simple, she hopes that no matter what her future holds, she is happy and continuously growing.
Nathalia is a second-year Business Technology Management student and this is her second year in ITMSA. She is excited to be part of the team again to bring exciting and valuable events to all BTM students. This year, she hopes that ITMSA will be a resource for BTM students to develop their skills, expand their professional network, and meet other awesome friends in the program!
She loves to learn new things and in between classes you will most likely find her lost listening to music, watching a TV show or reading a book. In joining BTM, she liked the unique opportunity of gaining a background in both the growing business and IT fields and she aims to eventually work internationally. Zafina is a second year co-op student thrilled to be on the ITMSA for Director of Corporate Relations. She is excited by the future prospects in BTM with the influence of artificial intelligence and IoT. In her spare time she likes to read about startups, food, and emerging trends in technology. This year she looks forward to spreading her passion for BTM and increase student engagement in order to ensure a fulfilling experience full of opportunity for the students of BTM and other faculties of TRSM. She also looks forward to increasing engagement with external organizations to help with the ITMSA's present and future prospects of bringing in more opportunities for students in BTM.

Ben is a second year BTM student and your incoming director of campus outreach. He came to Ryerson for the BTM program and has loved every minute of it. When he's not keeping you up to date with the latest ITMSA goings on, he enjoys photography and cycling.

Maryam is a 4th year BTM student and is the Director of Corporate Relations. As part of the ITMSA her goal is to increase the engagement between the course union and the undergraduate students. Maryam's professional goal is to attain a career in consulting. Being part of BTM as well as ITMSA has given her the resources and experience to grow and enhance her skills needed to achieve this goal. Apart from this, Maryam enjoys exploring Toronto and loves to travel.
