Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work in the IT Services department of our country’s central bank? We’ve all heard about the big five banks and probably know someone who works there, but what about the Bank of Canada? The role of the Bank is to promote the economic and financial well-being of Canada, including the responsibilities of monetary policy and they are also the sole issuer of Canadian banknotes and currency. Located in the capital city, Ottawa, the Bank works closely with the federal government of Canada to promote a safe and sound financial system within Canada. This year, the ITMSA presents the opportunity for selected Business Technology Management students to spend a day of 1-on-1 networking with the senior IT executives of the Bank of Canada. You can take this opportunity to learn more about how our skills can be used in this unique work environment or take it further to connect with the executives in the future. The duration of this trip will be for 1 night and 2 days with transportation and accommodation expenses paid for completely.

Date: February 6 – 7, 2012
Location: Headquarters of the Bank of Canada, Ottawa

If you are in your 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of BTM, passionate about the program and willing to make the most of this networking opportunity, please take the time to apply by Tuesday, January 31 at midnight. We will be reviewing your application and resume and if selected, you will be contacted for an interview. If you have any questions, please direct them to itmsa@ryerson.ca with the subject line stating “Experience Package Inquiry”.
